ONE GOD
in Three Persons

Following are texts that show the ONE GOD
includes Christ and the Holy Spirit as well as God the Father.

In the Beginning God created (Gen. 1:1)

And God said “Let US make” (Gen 1:26)

THE FATHER
Have we not all one father? Has not one God created us? (Mal. 2:10)

THE HOLY SPIRIT
And the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters (Gen.1:2)
By His Spirit He adorned the heavens (Job 26:13)
The Spirit of God has made me (Job 33:4)

CHRIST
And in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God and all things were made though Him and without Him nothing was made that was made, and that Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:1,3,14)
For by Him (Christ) were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him and for Him and He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. (Col. 1:16,17)

To make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things. (Ephesians 3:9)

GOD IS:

FATHER--Phil. 1:2 Grace and peace from God our Father.

SON-- John 1:1 The Word was with God and the Word was God.

Heb. 1:8 Of the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is forever

SPIRIT-- Acts 5:3-4 Why have you lied to the Holy Spirit…Ye have lied to God.

God is Above All:

1 Chron. 16:25,26
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.

God the Father is “above all“:

Ephesians 4.6
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Christ is “above all”

John the Baptist testified of Christ in comparison to himself:
John 3.31
He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

Romans 10:12-13
For the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

GOD OUR SAVIOR

Jude 1.25
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.

2 Samuel 22.3
The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my Saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Isaiah 43.3
For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour:

Isaiah 43.11
I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no Saviour.

Isaiah 45:21-22
There is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Hosea 13.4
Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no Saviour beside me.

Luke 2.11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

John 4:42
Know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Phil 3:20
We look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Our Redeemer

Psalms 78.35 And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their Redeemer.

Isaiah 41.14 I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 44.6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

CHRIST
Eph.1:5-7 Jesus Christ ...In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Job 19.25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:

HOLY SPIRIT
Eph. 1.14 You were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

God Is All Powerful:

THE FATHER Eph. 1.21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:


Ez. 10:45 The voice of the Almighty God

1 Chron. 29.11,12
Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

CHRIST
Hebs. 1:3
Jesus Christ “upholding all things by the WORD of His power.”

Matt. 28.18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Col. 2:8-10
In Christ. dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

The Spirit
Romans 15.13
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Thine is the Kingdom

1 Chron. 29:11
Thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

The Father’s Kingdom
Matt. 6.13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Is also Christ’s kingdom

Eph. 5.5
An inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

2 Peter 1.11
For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Only those in the Holy Ghost enter the kingdom

John 3.5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Romans 14.17
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

One Throne:

Acts 7.48, 49
Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?

Hebrews 1.8
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Hebrews 12.2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus, WHO sits upon the eternal throne WITH the FATHER, says:

Rev. 3.21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Rev. 5.13
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Rev. 7.15-17
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Rev. 22.1-3
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne (singular) of God and of the Lamb.
In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne (singular) of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

The Lord God Almighty, which art and wast, and is to Come, the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega

Rev. 11.17
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

Rev. 1.8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The Father

Rev. 4:8
Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

The Son

Rev. 22.12-13
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Rev. 2:8
These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

GOD IS KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS

Psalms 5:1-2
Give ear to my words, O LORD, (Jehovah) consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.

Psalms 47.7-8
For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.

1 Tim. 6:14-15
Until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Which in his times he shall show, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

Rev. 17.14
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Rev. 19.16
(The ONE upon the white horse)
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Isa. 44.6
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

GOD IS THE TRUTH,

Psalms 25.5
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Matt.14.6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 18:37
And for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

John 15:26
The Spirit of truth,

John 14.17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

GOD Dwells with Us

1 Cor. 6:16
You are the temple of the Living God. As God has said, “I will dwell in them and walk with them.”

1 Cor. 3.16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

1 Cor. 6.19
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you,

Eph. 3.17
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;

Col. 1:2
Christ in you, The hope of glory,

Rev. 12:20 Christ says:
Behold, I stand at the door and knock…open the door, I will come in to him and dine with him and he with Me.

John 14.16-18
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; …for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

GOD SANCTIFIES US

1 Thess. 5.23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;

Hebs. 13.12
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood,

1 Cor. 6:11
Ye are sanctified, ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Romans 15:16
Being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

Jude 1:2
To them that are sanctified by God the Father,

GOD IS ALL KNOWING

God knows all things

1 John 3:20
God ..knows all things

Romans 11:33
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unreachable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord?

Christ knows all things

1 Cor. 1:24
Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

John 16:30 (The disciples say to Christ)
“Now we are sure that You know all things…by this we are sure You came forth from God.”

John 21:18 (Peter said to Jesus)
“Lord, You know all things”

The Spirit knows all things

1 Cor. 2:10
God has revealed to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches ALL things, yes, the deep things of God. No one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

GOD IS ETERNAL

Duet 33.27
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms:

Psalms 41.13
Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Psalms 90.2
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Isaiah 9.6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 40.28
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not,

Christ is everlasting Isaiah 44.6
Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Rev. 2.8
These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

Micah 5.2

The Holy Spirit is eternal

GOD FORGIVES OUR SINS

Numbers 14.18
The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression,

Who can forgive sins but God only?

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgives all thine iniquities;

GOD IS OUR REFUGE

Duet. 33.27
The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms:

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Matt. 23:37 Jesus said,

The cities of refuge appointed for God's ancient people were a symbol of the refuge provided in Christ. The same merciful Saviour who appointed those temporal cities of refuge has by the shedding of His own blood provided for the transgressors of God's law a sure retreat, into which they may flee for safety from the second death. No power can take out of His hands the souls that go to Him for pardon. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." "Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us;" that "we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us." Romans 8:1, 34; Hebrews 6:18.

GOD IS OUR ROCK

1 Samuel 2.2
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

1 Sam. 22.32
For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?

2 Sam. 22.47
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

Ps. 18.46
The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

1 Cor. 10.4
That spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Matt. 16:16,18

Storm and tempest will not move the souls that are grounded on Christ, the eternal Rock.
