THE TRINITY

Our Glorious Redeemer!

Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates;
even lift them up, ye everlasting doors;
and the King of glory shall come in.

Who is this King of glory?

The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.
Psalms 24:8-10

The Majesty and Glory Of Christ

His name is "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS". Rev. 19:16
He is the "ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END, THE FIRST AND THE LAST. (Rev. 22:13

Few recognize Jesus Christ for WHO HE really is. He is the King of Glory, the King of Kings, eternally God, Lord of lords, ONE WITH THE FATHER.
Hebrews 1:3 tells us that before His incarnation He was the brightness of God’s glory, the express image of His person, He was upholding all things by the word of His power---
The ONE WHO upheld the universe was the ONE who Himself came to this world to purge our sins, and then sat down on the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

All heaven was waiting the hour of triumph, when Jesus ascended back to His Father in heaven. Angels came to receive the King of glory and to escort Him triumphantly to heaven. A multitude of the heavenly host were in attendance, while in heaven an innumerable company of angels awaited His coming and the anthem was sung:
Psalms 24:8-9
Who is the King of Glory?
The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

This was the One Who was in the Form of God, Who was equal with God, One with God, Who was God. He was the ONE WHO made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men (See John 1:1, Phil. 2:6)

After He had suffered the fullest disgrace in His death upon the cross, because of OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, Jesus Christ, Who will forever carry His identification with humanity, (the SON OF MAN as well as the SON OF GOD) was escorted to heaven and exalted as the King of the glory. There in heaven He took His place with the Father on His throne-- the only One worthy to implement the grand covenant between God and man."

Yes, He took His place upon the throne which is the throne of the FATHER and of the LAMB. (Rev. 22:1)

Oh, if the people on earth would have seen Him in His glory, if they would have recognized Him would they have crucified the KING of the glory? "

When Jehovah-(all three persons in perfect unity) made plans for the creation of the universe and the world, the rebellion was already fore-seen. The desolation which would be caused by Lucifer and all those who follow after him, was known by the omniscient mind of God. Lucifer, or "son of the morning" (see Isaiah 14) was the name of the devil or Satan before his rebellion against God. He was the highest angel prince of God's creation and he led a third of the angels into the revolution against the government of God. (Rev. 12:4,7,8) But already in advance the Divinity planned for the solution for this crisis. A rescue plan was prepared, in which each person in the Divinity was assigned His role in the creation, as well as the redemption and the wooing back of the affections of humans.

God the Father is all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and is invisible to mortal sight.
The Son is all the fullness of the Godhead manifested. The word of God declares Him to be "the express image of His person."
The Comforter (Holy Spirit) that Christ promised to send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead, making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in Christ as a personal Saviour.
There are three living persons of the heavenly trio. In the name of these three powers,--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these powers will cooperate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to live the new life in Christ. BT.1906-03-01.002(EGW)

It was decided that the second BEING in the Godhead, Christ, would become the "Son of God" and would be the One to manifested God to the created beings. The One who would become like the created. He would be the lamb. He would be a priest according to the order Melchizedek, an intermediary between God and humans.

Christ is the TRUE SON of God, because He is God, while Lucifer, the arch rebel, was a created angel, the "son of the morning" and initiator of all "sun" worship. Jehovah Emmanuel, the second person in the unified ONENESS of God, was foreordained to meet the crises in the only way a God of love and true liberty could meet it.

1 Peter 1.18-20
Forasmuch as ye know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things...But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.

Rev. 13.8
"The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

The plan of salvation was conceived and brought forth before creation was begun. The plan of salvation had been laid before the creation of the earth; for Christ is "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" (Revelation 13:8).

Before creation began the Divinity set in place the plan: the first person of the Divinity would represent the Godhood, while the second person would reach out to the created beings. This second person of the Divinity would step down and work for the reconciliation between God and His creation to return, as many humans as possible again to God.

The third person of the Divinity would illuminate the understanding of humans, in order to point them to, and enable them to respond to Jesus Christ.

But the most awesome part of this plan is that the second person of the Divinity, Christ, Who was verily God, would Himself lay aside His equality with God. He would come, from the throne of the universe, and descend voluntarily to this sin stricken planet, and degrade Himself so thoroughly as to give up everything in order to become equal with those, which were to be redeemed, in order that the plan of redemption might be fulfilled.

This happened as follows:

  • 1. Before creation Christ was in the same position as God Father. Philippians tells us he was in very nature God, equal with God.

  • 2. When the first seeds of doubting were planted in the minds of the angels, Christ, as Michael the archangel, pleaded with them. Christ had freely mingled with the angels, and this had lead Lucifer into thinking the he , Lucifer, should have all the same rights as Christ. The true nature of Christ's Godhood was then reaffirmed to the angels. The angels were summoned before God’s throne where they beheld Christ and the Father in their eternal, self-existent Glory. It was made plain to them WHO Christ was, even though He mingled with them as one of them.
When a third of the angels of God turned against God, it was the son of God, as the archangel Michael, who fought against the rebels and “there was war in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought, and his angels, but Christ defeats them!

  • 3. When humans revolted, the second person of the three-unified in ONE, went a further step and descended and became human. In His humanity He lived a perfectly sinless life among us.

The second Person in the Unified Godhead, became fully human and identified himself with our necessities. During his life on this earth, he took the position of a dependant suppliant, an earnest petitioner, praying constantly, seeking His strength and direction at the hand of the Father. We are to follow the example of the sinless Son of God. He showed us the way. Daily we need help and grace and power from the Source of all power. We are to cast our helpless souls upon the One who is ready to help us in every time of need.

  • 4. But this was not the final step; the second Person of the Divinity went a further and even lower downward step: He took upon Himself all the sins, and went to the cross as the worst of all sinners, NOT HIS sins, He took upon Himself our sins, to pay the death penalty Himself for our sins. He died the second death, which represents the deepest stage in the whole universe.
Christ humbled Himself and took on the form of a servant , and made Himself like any other human, bearing the from of humans . He degraded Himself even further and was obedient unto death, even the death at the cross " (Phil. 2,7.8)

Jesus Christ is the only person in the universe, who lived through the two counterpoints in the universe, He who was at the highest point descended to the deepest stage. From the throne of God and to the depths of hell experiencing the second death. He experienced and suffered the agonies of the second death and nevertheless He is again alive.

Voluntarily, by self degradation, the second person of the divinity took an ever smaller position in the comparison to the first person, God father. He accepted willingly a dependent relationship with Him, the same relationship, which humans have to God. This was an inconceivably large condescension for Jesus Christ. He is God in the fullest and highest meaning of the word.

The day is coming when Lucifer and all other created beings will recognized Christ as the King of Glory, --they will recognize HIM as God. For every knee will bow and declare Him as worthy and just and good. (Phil 2:10) For thus God became human, the Divinity, through Christ, the second person of the Divinity descended from the heights of glory to the lowest depths in order to redeem us.

Now it is no longer possibly for angels or humans to accuse God-- and say "for you it is an easy thing to be make the highest moral requirements of your subjects while you, yourself live above obedience and are all sufficient in yourself . You cannot understand our situation and all our the difficulties, with which we have to fight, you don’t know what it’s like to be a created being in subjection, we do not trust you." No, that charge is forever destroyed, for the Bible explains that Christ is tried "in everything like we, but without sin" (Heb. 4.15)

It was God, for Christ is fully God, who yet fully and completely took upon Himself humanity, refusing to use the power of His Divinity, and depending totally, as any human must, upon the Father. It was the ONE who was equal in all ways to the Father, Who took on humanity and Who struggled in the Garden to submit His human will to the will of the Father.

"Father, (He pleaded) if you are willing, take this cup from me, yet not my will, but yours be done."... and being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. (Luke 22:42-43)

Consider Him....in you struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood." Heb. 12:3,4)

If Christ had been deceived by Satan's temptations, and had exercised his Divine power to relieve himself from difficulty, and the assaults of Satan, he would have broken the contract made before the foundations of the earth, to be a probationer in behalf of the humanity.

It was a very difficult task for the Prince of Life to carry out the plan which he had undertaken for the salvation of man, in clothing his divinity with humanity. He was the honoured One in heaven and was familiar with absolute power. It was as difficult for him to keep to the level of total humanity as it is for men to rise above the low level of their depraved natures, and be partakers of the divine nature.
Christ was put to the closest test, requiring the strength of all his faculties to resist the inclination when in danger, to use his power to save himself from peril, and triumph over the power of the prince of darkness.

CHRIST IS EXALTED!! HE IS THE MAJESTY OF GLORY

As deep as the depth of Christ’s humility was, so high is now His Exaltation.
“For this reason has God also exalted Him and has given HIM the Name over all names, that at the Name of Jesus all will bow the knee, who are in heaven above and on the earth and under the earth, and all tongues will testify that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God." (Phil. 2,9-11).

After Christ paid the penalty for our sins and returned to heaven, the 24 elders and representatives of mankind could praise Him with the words:
“You are worthy, to take the book and open the seals, for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation…” Then the angels join the elders in honouring and praising God’s Son; "The Lamb of God, who was slain, is worthy to take power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.” Then the whole creation sings the praises in unison: “To Him who sits on the throne, and the Lamb be praise and honour and blessing and power from everlasting to everlasting. (Revelation 5,9.12.13).

Humans, Angels and the whole Universe praise God for His wonderful Love and Redemption.

Will we, make Him Lord of our Lives, so we can join that glorious chorus?
