In our study of "mary's" predications, we have come to the point where THE GREAT CHASTISEMENT has begun. The purification of FIRE AND OF BLOOD it is called. "The great trial has arrived for your country USA. . .Sins of impurity have become ever more widespread, and immorality has spread like a sea which has submerged all things. . .You will know the hour of suffering and defeat; the purifying hour of the great chastisement." (p.342) "A land of terror will fall at the knees of Mary." "That will be the end of San Francisco, New York . . .There will be nobody left in those cities:" (p.344)
Compare this to Great Controversy:
(GC 589) It is God that shields His creatures and hedges them in from the power of the destroyer. But the Christian world have shown contempt for the law of Jehovah; and the Lord will do just what He has declared that He would--He will withdraw His blessings from the earth and remove His protecting care from those who are rebelling against His law and teaching and forcing others to do the same. Satan has control of all whom God does not especially guard. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. He will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation.Yes, those who resist the great religious movement led by Mary, will now be accused of bringing these judgements upon the world, and they will be regarded as the cause of the fearful convulsions racking the populations of the earth. The power with which God's people witnessed for Him made the religious leaders very angry and now Satan will excite to still greater intensity the spirit of hatred and persecution against those who honor God and refuse to bow to "Mary" or the church she is promoting.And then the great deceiver will persuade men that those who serve God are causing these evils. The class that have provoked the displeasure of Heaven will charge all their troubles upon those whose obedience to God's commandments is a perpetual reproof to transgressors. It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced; and that those who present the claims of the fourth commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troublers of the people, preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity."
Terrible wars will break out, someone whom the churches will label as anti christ will be causing massive destruction. (Thunder of Justice pages 342,343) "There will be a World War III and it will be started by a man who wears the turban of the faith, a Moslem. Yet there is a more powerful one to rise in Syria, when this one has accomplished his work. He will cause destruction and pain and great persecution. The red will flow into the sea . . .There will be nothing to eat . . .The Antichrist is going to arise from the Mohammedan race, a Moslem. He is going to have a turban. The people will call it, "the eye of Satan." He will be young. . .wearing a long robe. He will be very intelligent and well equipped for nuclear war. . .worse than Hitler, connected with communists. . .Fire rockets at us some will hit New York City."
Here is the antichrist protestant America is looking for! This is what they are expecting, and it will come — but it is not the anti-christ of prophecy! He may destroy many lives, but this is not the power that will deceive and destroy the very souls of men and women with the last day deceptions. This is what makes the evangelical doctrine of the end times so dangerous because it will seemingly be fulfilled and leave them wide open to accept the real deceptions that will sweep the whole world into the worship of the beast and the dragon.
They will THINK the antichrist is being "destroyed" while they are bowing to the real antichrist and thinking they are establishing the great kingdom of God over the earth, while in actuality they are establishing the dragon's kingdom of Babylon!
But there is something else we NEED TO NOTE:
According to the book "Fatima" by Frere Francois de Marie des Anges, the POPE goes into exile! The Catholic Church must be cleansed. The third secret, is apparently announcing the dreadful apostasy in the Catholic church, and also announces it will be chastized for cleansing, and that the "Holy Father" will have to suffer. But he will return and triumph. (The prophecies do not limit themselves to ONE pope-- but to THE pope--for some seem to think the pope will be killed, others seem to say he goes into excile-- but either way, the so called TRUE POPE truimphs in the end, in all these predictions.)
Don Bosco's (revered as a saint by Catholics) wrote prophecies and states:In some prophecies a "usurper" pope will force this exile, this usurper is said to be a "convert" from Islam.
"There appeared in the sky a splendid light that lit the footsteps of the travellers as though it were high noon." (A great "false light" the worst of satan's illusions) The were to be seen a crowd of men, women, children, old men, monks, nuns and priest, and their head the Sovereign Pontiff, leaving the Vatican ...there is a violent storm, overshadowing the light, and seemingly fighting against it..however they arrive at a place that was strewn with dead and wounded...two angels could be seen presenting the Pope with a standard and saying to him" Receive this banner from Him who fights and scatters the most powerful armies of the earth. Your enemies have fled and your sons are imploring you with sighs and tears to return.
On the standard was written" "Regina Sine Labe Concepta" and on the other side" "Auxilium Christianorum".
The pontiff took the standard with joy, but seeing the small number of those who had stayed with him, he became very sad.
The two angels added: "Go quickly to comfort your sons...a reform of morals is necessary...Having heard that, the Pope began to move forward, and the ranks of those in the procession swelled. When he entered the holy city, he began to weep over the desolation of its inhabitants. Then entering St. Peter's he intoned the "Te Deum"...The singing ended, the darkness completely vanished and a brilliant sun began to shine...The people were going up to one another and saying: "Yes truly, there is a God in Israel."
Yes, the deceptions will give the Christian world what they are looking for--an evil "anti-christ". They will rally to fully committ themselves to the unity of the churches and together they will fight the "antichrist" to help the "persecuted" pope, who rises to fight the "antichrist" and restore Christainity.
Yet the whole thing is nothing more than a two-faced play of deception, lead by mary, working through both "white and black" popes to exalt the papacy to absolute PRIMACY in a most deceptive way, and to bring worship to herself--that is to Satan himself — for "Mary" is none other than Satan himself, demanding the worship of the world.
People will readily apply the "666" to the "usurper" of the papal seat, but fail to realize the number "666" applies to the real USURPER, who pretends to sit in GOD'S SEAT!
Rev. 13:3-4 "And the whole world wondered after the beast and they WORSHIPED THE DRAGON which gave power to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, who is like unto the beast?
It will seem that not even the "antichrist" can prevale against the pope, and everyone will "marvel". When in actuality the whole thing is antichrist! For in their zeal to restore Christianity, the ecumenical movement will trample on the "the remnant who keep the commandments of God" (the real commandments, not the traditions placed in the place of God's commandments) and accept the real anti-christ who has attempted to change the law of God.
This is crucial to understand--
for when the image to the beast is established, the church will take over the government-- it will not be secularized movement outlawing christianity as many suppose. The church will emply or control the power of the state, and religious moral commands will be legislated and enforced.
The message for the world from Mary during the chastisement, now is no longer repentance, but saying that the enemies of the church, whether known or unknown must perish before the chastisement will cease. (352) This doesn't involve just Sabbath keepers, this involves everyone who does not yield to the authority of the church.

Thunder of Justice page 353The one labeled as the Anti-Christ and his followers must be extinguished!
Saint Peter and Saint Paul, having come down from Heaven, shall preach in the whole world and designate a new Pope. A great light will flash from their bodies and will settle upon the cardinal who is to become pope. Christianity, then will spread throughout the world. He is the Holy Pontiff, chosen by God to withstand the storm. At the end, he will have the gift of miracles, and his name shall be praised over the whole earth.
It is interesting to see Mary's definition of antichirst and the number 666. She says the number 3 is God's number symbolizing the Trinity. So Antichrist double the number to 6. Now the number is 666 that is 6 three times, so anti Christ manifests himself 3 times.
The more I read, the more I'm convinced that there will be others resisting the church's rise to leadership other than Sabbath keepers. Their reasons will be different and they will resist violently, some of them will do atrocious deeds. The Great Controversy paints many pictures of strife and blood shed, fighting and war once the Spirit of God is withdrawn. G.C. 614 states "as the angels of God cease to hold in check the fierce winds of human passion, all the elements of strife will be let loose. The whole world will be involved in ruin more terrible than that which came upon Jerusalem of old."
Not only will Sabbath keepers be classed as followers of the antichrist and accused of all the terrible deeds done by evil men, but their courageous message exposing the false claims of the ecumenical religious movement during the time of the warning has singled them out as special objects of hate.

Great Controversy shows the following will happen: (GC 592)
""The protection of human laws shall be withdrawn from those who honor the law of God, there will be, in different lands, a simultaneous movement for their destruction. (GC 635)
"Fearful sights of a supernatural character will soon be revealed in the heavens, in token of the power of miracle-working demons. The spirits of devils will go forth to the kings of the earth and to the whole world, to fasten them in deception, and urge them on to unite with Satan in his last struggle against the government of heaven. By these agencies, rulers and subjects will be alike deceived. Persons will arise pretending to be Christ Himself, and claiming the title and worship which belong to the world's Redeemer. They will perform wonderful miracles of healing and will profess to have revelations from heaven contradicting the testimony of the Scriptures." (GC 624)
Those who honor the Bible Sabbath will be denounced as enemies of law and order, as breaking down the moral restraints of society, causing anarchy and corruption, and calling down the judgments of God upon the earth. Their conscientious scruples will be pronounced obstinacy, stubbornness, and contempt of authority. They will be accused of disaffection toward the government. Ministers who deny the obligation of the divine law will present from the pulpit the duty of yielding obedience to the civil authorities as ordained of God. In legislative halls and courts of justice, commandment keepers will be misrepresented and condemned. A false coloring will be given to their words; the worst construction will be put upon their motives."
People will be running for their lives.
Supernatural beings have appeared on this earth giving the secrets of what is planned for earth's inhabitants. These beings come in the name of "Mary". Yet this "Mary" claims all the prerogatives of God. She is the one pictured as "crushing the Serpent" (p.21) Mary claims she will crush the head of the devil and cause Jesus to triumph (42) She speaks of herself as Co- redemptrix (27) She claims to be able to forgive and heal soul and body. (26) she claims to be our advocate (25) she wants people to consecrate themselves to her immaculate heart, and she claims to be the one who will sign all with heavenly seal (330) She constantly requests people to pray to her using the rosary.
This sounds very much like the chief enemy described in Isaiah 14:13-15
"O Lucifer, how were you cut down? You said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will be like the most High."
These apparitions are revealing Satan's plans for the world! The surprising thing is how closely they run in opposite parallel to Ellen White's Great Controversy. That is why I see them as important to be aware of, they are Satan's planned fulfilment of the deceptions which God revealed to Ellen White in their true light so that we need not be deceived by them..
We are in a war. To know the enemies strategies is to great advantage in resisting his attacks. It is imperative that we know who the beast is, for it is the beast, there in Rev. 13, that receives great power from the dragon and causes all to worship the dragon and himself. The beast can not be a United Europe, for Daniel two plainly and distinctly says they shall NOT CLEAVE one to another. Both beasts in Rev. 13 and Rev. 17 have the ten horns, as Daniel 2 has ten toes. Revelation 17:12 tells us these ten horns will give their power to the beast — but they are not the key players. Revelation 13 tells us the USA will be forcing the world to worship the first beast.
The whole world will declare "Who can make war against beast?" — they will try but in the end they will submit to the beast and end up worshiping it and the dragon. Who is this beast in Rev. 13? — IT IS PLAINLY revealed that it is the Papist power to any who are open to the whole prophecies.
In Rev. 17, this counterfeit religious system is pictured as the woman riding a scarlet beast. This scarlet beast looks very much like the dragon of Rev. 12. Thus we see the connection of this relgious system and dragon himself.
We've discussed the warning, and the miracle and began our discussion on the great chastisement. It will indeed be a great time of trouble such as never was with both horrendous natural disasters and fierce human passions wrecking violence and desolating over the earth. Even the Catholic Church will not be spared but "must be purified". Some say the pope will go into hiding, while others suggest he will offer himself as a blessed sacrifice (be killed) One "Mary" says "There will be three days of complete darkness. After the three days of darkness, Saint Peter and Saint Paul, having come down from Heaven, shall preach in the whole world and designate a new Pope. Christianity then, will spread throughout the world. He is the Holy Pontiff, chosen by God, Whole nations will come back to the Church including England and China." Other visionaries declare the Pope will come out of hiding and achieve similar results. . . In those days there will be one Shepherd and one Faith, that of the Roman Catholic Church, which was established when Christ walked visibly on the earth." (TJ 354)
The world has seen the warning and the miracles, they have felt the fierce conquests of unprincipled men, they have suffered terrible disasters. They have witnessed awesome supernatural phenomena that can't be denied. "The land of terror will fall at the feet of Mary" (343) "All enemies of the Church, whether known or unknown will perish over the whole earth." (352) The plan is deadly serious to bring the whole world into line.
These will be days when we will not be able to trust our senses or instincts. We must know what we believe. Spiritualism will abound as God's grace is withdrawn . People long dead will appear and preach to the whole world. The papacy will gain control and add more terror to the already wracked earth as all enemies of the church must perish.
Now what happens next. Satan will pull off his masterpiece in deception. While confusion, catastrophes and bloodshed engulf the earth, a beautiful being claiming to be Christ appears. According to "Mary," Christ's second coming will be like his first. (TJ 360) Quietly entering a world that's not really ready to receive him. He will come to supposedly set the world free from the slavery of sin and evil. He will come to establish His kingdom in the world, which, AFTER ANNIHILATING his enemies, he claims will be wonderful. He promises a new era of love, life and light.
Great Controversy exposes the true identity of this being. p. 624 "As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will impersonate Christ. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God in Rev. 1:13-15. The shout of triumph rings out upon the air: "Christ has come! In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious heavenly truths which the Savior uttered; he heals the diseases of the people and then claims to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday and commands all to hallow the day which he has blessed; How can people still refuse when it seems that Christ Himself now commands Sunday worship. This being looks like Christ, he teaches like Christ, but then this imposter commands all his enemies to be put to death for they blasphemed his name in not listening to all the special messages sent to them and standing in the way of the era of peace which he wants his children to enjoy."
God's people remember the text in 2 Cor. 11:14 "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." They will remember that it is first of all the dragon, that old serpent, Satan, who is the power behind all this horror, and that he wants the whole world to worship him and to worship the beast through whom he works. (Rev. 13:4) This being must be Satan for he is teaching things contrary to the Bible and God's Holy Law.
Yet here is the issue Adventists have been presenting for years and most all the churches have been opposing. This supernatural being will pretend to be upholding the ten commandments, just as the pope is now pretending to uphold the ten commandments in his letter written directly against the fourth commandment.
Page 389 TJ: we read the position that will face us: "The commandment forbidding false idols has so many shapes and forms in our daily lives. . .This is where we see many of the root causes of our problems: it is in
the commandment of "KEEPING THE SABBATH HOLY". In the Old Testament, not honoring this day was punishable by death. . . There is widespread abuse all throughout the Christian culture concerning the Sabbath. . .we have lost God"
However it is clear in the passage that the Sabbath they are talking about is SUNDAY!
Yes, the pretension of upholding God's ten commandments is there, but the obvious breaking by the Roman church of both the commandments referred to in the above passage are glaring!

"His (that is the one we know will be the impostor Christ) coming will be like the first. . .the great ones will not remember Him, the rich will close their doors on Him, while His own will be too busy seeking and affirming themselves. He will come to establish His kingdom in the world, after having defeated and ANNIHILATED His enemies."
The insubordinate stubbornness of the commandment keepers must be totally broken. They must pay for the trouble their resistance is causing the world. So the death decree is passed declaring open season on all nonconforming troublemakers.
Can we even begin to see the magnitude of what is just ahead. According to the messages these things can begin to happen any day now. We know Satan can not do anything as long as God commands the four angels to hold back the winds of strife, and that God is in control of the timing. Yet, I want to impress on your minds how fast these things could take place.
The book Great Controversy describes triumphant scenes that correspond with Biblical prophecy. These scenes are not described in Mary's messages for they show the triumph of God and His people.
Once again picture yourself hiding out somewhere on the mountains, you know the death decree has been issued and it seems like you will not be able to hold onto life much longer. Today it's been dark all day, the earth is trembling. Suddenly it looks like the sky is scrolled back and you can see the light of heaven. Your tiredness and weariness disappear and you start to shout. "The Lord is my Refuge and my strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will I not be afraid, even if the earth shakes and the mountains be carried into the sea."
Once again a sign appears in the sky.
The deceptive power displayed the cross, but God displays His commandments. From the very beginning of the great controversy in heaven it has been Satan's purpose to overthrow God's government and law. Rightly understood the cross upholds the law, yet Satan would have us believe that it does away with God's law. Christ's death on the cross demonstrated to all the worlds in the universe that God's law is unchangeable. Could its claims be set aside, then Jesus would not have needed to die to atone for sinners. The Bible says in 1 John 3:7-9 "Little children, don't let anyone deceive you, the person who practices righteousness is righteous even as Christ is righteous. And the person that practices sin is of the devil because the devil was the first to sin. For this purpose Jesus was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever is born of God does not practice sin, for God's love is in him; and he cannot practice sin because he is born of God.
You will find crosses upon churches, upon altars, and upon their garments. Everywhere is seen the insignia of the cross. Everywhere it is outwardly honored and exalted. But whar about the teachings of Christ and His once and for all saving, cleansing sacrifice, is that buried beneath a mass of senseless traditions, false interpretations, and sacraments. Romanists claim to reverence the cross. They exalt the symbol of Christ's sufferings, while in their lives and beliefs they deny Him whom it represents.
When the commandments appear in the sky there will be a terrible awakening of those who pushed God's law aside and substituted human traditions in it's place. Too late they realize that to be a Christian includes obedience to all Christ's commandments. To late they realize that loving obedience and surrender to God's will is the sign that Christ lives in the heart. Terrible will be the awakening and people turn on each other with agonized accusations, blaming each other for deceiving them.
Back to the scene of the faithful. They gaze steadfastly into the sky as the commandments fade away. All around the earth is heaving, mountain fall, islands disappear, but they are not afraid. In the valley are the cries of anguish and violence, but they are at peace.
Suddenly thunder peals through the sky. You distinctly hear a voice declare that Christ will come at a given time. A blessing is pronounced on those who have honored God by keeping His Sabbath Holy.
"Here is the patient endurance of the saints, here are they that keep my commandments and have the faith of Jesus." Rev.14:12.
"Blessed are they that do My commandments for they will have a right to the tree of life and enter in through the gates of my city" Rev. 22:14.
"Everyone who keeps from defiling my Sabbath and holds fast my covenant even them will I bring to my holy Mountain." Is. 56:6.
Eagerly you scan the skies. Soon there appears in the east a small black cloud, about the size of a man's hand. You know this to be the sign of Jesus coming. With unuttable longing you watch that cloud as it comes closer and closer to earth, becoming lighter and more glorious until it is a great white cloud, its base a glory like consuming fire and above it the rainbow of promise. Then you see Jesus, all around him are thousands times ten thousand and thousands of thousands of radiant heavenly angels. But you look only at Jesus!
"Oh Jesus, you cry, ‘Am I worthy to go home with you?'
Then the voice of Jesus is heard saying "My grace is sufficient for you."
Your face lights up and joy floods over you like you've never experienced before. You hardly notice that the earth is doing a wild chaotic dance.
Suddenly the trumpet sounds and the cry rings around the world, "Awake, awake, awake, you who sleep in the dust and arise!
All over the earth the righteous dead hear that voice, and they shall live. All arise with the freshness and vigor of eternal youth. All blemishes and deformities are left in the grave. Angels will reunite family members. The father, mother brother or sister or child you laid to rest will be alive once more. Friends long separated by death are united never more to part.
You will be changed "in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. And all together you will ascend to that glorious cloud to travel home with Jesus (See 1 Thess, 4:16-17)
Joy unutterable thrill your heart and you can't help but sing praise to Jesus Christ who saved you from this dreadful world of sin.
Then Jesus takes his children to the Holy City and opens wide the pearly gates. "Come, you blessed of my Father, your conflict is ended, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. Welcome home my children!
